The title of the app means both “Be Aware” and “Bacteria Aware”. The application works as a kind of digital scanner and microscope that turns your mobile phone's camera into a powerful detector of bacteria, viruses and other health-threatening microorganisms hidden from the naked human eye. It helps cautious people to always stay informed of the possible risks.

A powerful magnifier app with a flashlight that makes it easy to detect very small things. The invented app uses similar magnifying approach.
This app has nothing to do with healthcare and has a different goal to identify rocks and gems, but its principle of stone recognition on a photo is adjacent to the principle of recognition of microorganisms on scanned surfaces, which is used in B.Aware.
This is a skin scanner that detects melanoma on early stages and performs other skin checks, providing risk assessment and safety tips. Although it belongs to another field of healthcare, the functions of the application are in many ways similar to the B.Aware app and both apps have the same goals - to detect a threat and prevent serious diseases.

While designing the concept of the app from scratch, I tried to bring to life an original idea that would not only be engaging, but, above all, useful and help protect people from the risks of infection. I learned how important it is to take into account the different needs of users and their peculiarities, and also how necessary it is that the developed interface is accessible and understandable in order to provide its main functions.
